September Rain

Wet in your love, drying his pain
you turned around a man who was insane
he cries with a smile, tears tasting sweet
pieces put together and made him complete

rain of tears have a story to tell
some are true others are to sell
afraid of sinking, have no worries
we'll sail on the rain water with a boat made of stories

1 + 1 = 3

In the pure heart of yours, there were dreams of love
dreams with wings that fly sky high
shaping of a man who will never make you cry

I feel lucky to be the one who gave form to that man
though with faults , chiseling myself to fit as far as I can
have patience my love , it's not too far as it seems
the man you love, will indeed be the man of your dreams

With all the love over these years, we have grown as strong as a tree
ready for the next step when we two become three.

Path

A brown narrow path cutting the green field into half, like the middle binding of the book, breaking and making a story at the same time, runs through into the woods. Sometimes straight, sometimes curvy representing its emotions at stages. People think that it will lead them somewhere. How humans trust a path more than their kins sometimes. Knowingly and unknowingly, they create and preserve the path, knowingly and unknowingly showing the right or the wrong direction. In rain, the path is muddy, water puddled in potholes, nuisance for adults, adventure of the littles. Narrow, wide, short, long, right, wrong are its familiar neighbors. Sometimes too many and sometimes all alone, sometimes has a partner too, some lucky paths. They will live till they are used, else nature will take back its righteous belonging, i.e a piece of land, and one scar less made by the humans.

Its time !!

Its time to know where to go
Its time to think, to float or sink
Its time face, to leave or embrace
Its time.

End to the crying, end to the stoop
End to the journey, of an endless loop
End to the happiness of being sad
End to the saneness of being mad
Its time.

Farewell to the friends as good as void
Farewell to the pleasures, that's better to avoid
Its time.

questions !!!

Is it hard to be true
Till your life is through
Is it less to be more
When there is no space to pour
Will you ever be sad
That you made no one mad
Will you even cry for more
When you are almost at the door
Are there places on earth
Which give meaning to our birth
Are there seasons in the air
Which nature would never share
The list goes on even when i quest
Thinking, living, wondering
Until I am laid to rest.

Re-finding the strangers

Watching the movie "Before Sunset", on a winter evening cosily tucked inside the blanket, defeating the natures cruelty was me and the girl next to me. Both of us lost in the magic of the movie spelled upon us. The eagerness of the two characters to know each other and to open up like they have been bound in a nutshell for years made us think of us.

The cafe in Paris reminded us of cafe coffee day in Bangalore where the noise around never made it to our ears. Eyes never faded from each other's face and every sip of coffee was dragged like Ekta kapoor's family melodramas. The strolls in the park of Paris reminded us of the late night bike rides around the empty roads of the sleepless city.

During all these actions, there were conversations which made the actions memorable. Reading  one chapter of each others past after another, visualizing every moment told, reacting the way as though it was happening to you made us cherish each others company.

The movie took us back to the times when we were strangers yet companions, arguers yet believers, perverts yet emotional. In the years of togetherness, we had found each other but lost those strangers and the movie made us realize that. After the end of the movie, the spark in each others eyes revealed that he/she is the missing stranger and I have found him/her again.

Although, things cannot be the same as it was before, we'll it should not be the same as it was before, but cherishing such memories makes me feel special and seeing the girl next to me as my wife makes the life worth a shot.

Cherie

Me and my wife decided to get a dog. Till the time she came to bangalore, she always had a dog in her home. So I could not fail to notice the excitment in her face when I agreed to get a dog to our house.

Almost everyone in their childhood dream of having a pet. Let it be Dog or a cat, children somehow manage to find a non-human buddy for themselves. I remember that I had got two little
puppies from the street and started to take care of them in my grandma's house. All the kids in my colony treated as their own pets and we used to love the time spent with them.

Kids always see the emotional part of things and adults sometimes see the logical part of things. The same happened with me and I could not hold on to a dog for a long time. So the childhood dream of having a dog was buried like the bone dog burries in ground.

Then I grew up and with age you start to think logically. All the thougths of, if I own a pet, i will have to feed it, bath it, clean the mess it creates. Above all, i would lose my freedom and have to dedicate my time to it. Such thoughts chain you up, narrowing your sight towards negetivity.

The bone remained burried until my wife started off one day after we moved in to our new house that we should get a dog. I was not willing to pay for a dog and told her the same. Later she found a organization called CUPA. It is a NGO in favour of animals and they had put up a camp on Gandhi Jayathi in which we could go and adopt a pet staying at their shelter.

That was the day when we got Cherie. She is unusual. She looks like a pom but has the color of a german shepard. For the day we brought her she was quiet and we thought she does not know how to bark. But as the days passed by we realized that she is one notorious dogie, who always likes to be pampered. She goes to the extent of taking our hands, putting it on herself asking us to pamper her.

Lot of things changed after she has come home. Me or my wife has to return from work before 6pm just because we need to take her out for a walk and give her dinner. Our expenditures have increased. Our outings have become less. We take leave from work when she is sick. When we go out, we do not enjoy until we come to know she is doing well back home. My wife cries when she gets hurt.

These are some of the difficulties which we face. But on the other side, we are more happy when we are at home with her. Her every action makes us laugh. After a day of work, your stress goes off the instant when u see she is all over you right after you have opened the house door. No welcome comes close to the welcome u get from her. And the best thing is, We become kids when she is with us. The best part of our life, childhood, comes back alive.

Weighing the pros and cons of owning a dog would be useless. You give them a home. They give you everything. My freind one's said. "My dad did not cry when my grandma died, but he cried when his dog died". This just shows the space that a dog can create in your heart. Cherie has created that space in our hearts.
We will always be thankful to God to give us the sense to have dog and hope God gives the same sense to everyone else.
